Subject: On duty crews visiting the Uniform Store.
In an attempt to reduce some of the problems associated with on-duty crews visiting the Uniform Store, the following schedule will take effect as of 1 September, 2002.
Companies have been assigned a shift during each round when
they can visit the store based on
the daily activities. Their shift # and time slot will remain the same each
round.
| 1st shift of each round: | 0900-1000 hrs; R-5 & E-9 |
| 1000-1100 hrs; T-2 & R-12 | |
| 1100-1200 hrs; E-1 & R-7 | |
| 2nd shift of each round: | 0900-1000 hrs; E-10 & R-11 |
| 1000-1100 hrs; R-3 & E-6 | |
| 1100-1200 hrs; T-5 & R-8 | |
| 3rd shift of each round: | 0900-1000 hrs; R-2 & T-8 |
| 1000-1100 hrs; E-13 & R-14 | |
| 1100-1200 hrs; E-4 & HM-6 |
This schedule should help accomplish the following:
Establish a consistent visiting schedule which should make it simpler for the combat crews, the Battalion Chiefs, and the store employees in knowing who can go in, and on what shift.
Limits the possible units visiting the store to 6 per shift.
No more than 1 Truck company is assigned per shift.
No more than 3 Rescue companies are assigned per shift.
We will be able to maintain balanced coverage within the city.
We realize this does not address every “what if.” (weekends, holidays, CFE, CME) Companies will probably miss their shift to go in occasionally, but it is unlikely that all companies need to go every round anyway.
Ways to work around this inconvenience are; members can go to the store on their own time, call in their orders, call to check on their orders, check their fax messages, or check the store website for orders that are in.
Hopefully this will provide a simpler and more organized method for everyone. Questions/comments may be directed to myself, the store employees, or your B.C.
